The Oklahoma State Cowboys had a fantastic 2010 season, and they weren't quite expected to. They were expected to be middle of the pack by most, but instead, they went 11-2, giving the school its first ever 11-win campaign. Now the expectations are certainly high, and head coach Mike Gundy must be itching to meet them, and to surpass in state rival Oklahoma.

After all, it was Oklahoma last year who prevented a trip for the Cowboys to the Big 12 title game. They narrowly lost 47-41 in the final week of the regular season, and then didn't play again until they met Arizona in the Alamo Bowl, and trounced them to finish the year on a high note. The only other loss of the season was against a top 15 ranked Nebraska squad, and the team dominated much of the rest of their schedule, putting up a ton of points in entertaining fashion along the way.

Gundy has given the Cowboys their own persona and unique brand of football, and boosted by brand new facilities, recruiting has been easier than it has been in the past for Oklahoma State. Now, it's time to tackle the 2011 schedule, and there are some huge games there to keep an eye on.

The team will have back to back road games in October against Texas and Missouri, and those will tell the tale of the season, really. Then, the team closes out the year with the rivalry match against Oklahoma, and it's played in home at Stillwater this year for the Cowboys.
