Kansas has never been known primarily as a football school. The state and the school are both basketball crazy. Still, the team has had plenty of success in the past, and second year coach Turner Gill doesn't want to play second fiddle. 2010 was a rough year for him at the helm, but he's ready to take charge, bring in some better recruits, and lift the program up after a dismal 3-9, last place campaign.

They have a trip to Georgia Tech to continue that series, and follow that up with a home game against Texas Tech, a road game at Oklahoma State, and two home against Oklahoma and Kansas State. Other teams on the schedule this year include all of the Big 12 staples, like Texas, Texas A&M and Missouri, which closes out the year and this year will be played at Missouri.
