Billboard.com reported in Spring 2007 that Van Halen will tour 40 cities this summer with the band''s original frontman David Lee Roth for the first time in more than 20 years. Roth left the band in 1985 and was replaced by Sammy Hagar. Not long after this announcement rumors of the tour ended however citing various reasons.

On August 13 however the tour was finally announced, with the 1st performance starting in Charlotte onSeptember 27 and finishing up in Calgary on December 11.

The 2007 lineup will include original guitarist Eddie Van Halen and his 15-year-old son Wolfgang on bass. On drums will be Alex Van Halen. The band last toured in 2004 with Sammy Hagar, grossing nearly $40 million.
