Seating Info

  • Seats down the left field line and the bleachers get a lot of sun.
  • There is a concourse between the "Field" and "Main" levels. The first few rows of the "Main" level have obstructed views because of the constant pedestrian traffic on the concourse.
  • The upper "Tier" deck extends far beyond the "Loge" deck and most of the "Main" level, which makes for some very shady seats and protection from rain on those lower levels.
  • Bleacher section is separate from the rest of the ballpark. Bleacher ticket holders may not enter the rest of the ballpark and vice versa.
  • Food at the ballpark isn't very good. New York is the capital of the world, with plenty of great restaurants. Consider eating out before or after the game.
  • The South Bronx is not known for its safe neighborhoods. While the area has dramatically improved over the years, and the city claims that crime is low around the stadium during games, caution is advised.

BUSES: Several New York Transit Authority Bus Lines provide convenient service to Yankee Stadium. The BX 6, BX 13 and BX 55 buses stop at 161st St./Grand Concourse, a short walk from the Stadium.

For more information, visit the New York Metropolitan Transit Authority Web site.

Traffic

To the uninitiated, New York City can be a frightening place to drive a car. There really isn't anything else like it in this country. There is so much in such a small space, that it bombards the senses. A driver needs to know where he or she is going ahead of time. If you must drive, a trial run might be a good idea. Or, give yourself plenty of time for the inevitable wrong turn.
